The Killers frontman, turned solo-star Brandon Flowers rocked the Brixton Academy on the 19th October as he wound-up his UK tour in tremendous style.
In front of a packed crowd, Flowers performed the tracks from his new bestselling album ‘Flamingo’ with the early highlight of the night being his rendition of single ‘Crossfire’ which got the fans on their feet and singing along.
Much to the annoyance of the safety guard, who was trying to impose the venue’s seating only rule on the Balcony, Flowers’ fans remained on their feet for most of the evening thereafter.
Although the songs off his solo record have not yet become as iconic as many of The Killers tracks, Flowers is clearly an incredibly talented performer, as well as lyricist, and his energy on stage ricocheted throughout the Academy, which was populated by a very mixed audience.
It must be said though, whether it was the young or old members of the crowd, all were eager for Flowers to play some Killers classics, and he didn’t disappoint after reappearing for his encore.
Joined on stage by producer Stuart Price, Flowers closed the night with a dance remix of Mr Brightside, which had even those who were only attending to accompany friends or loved ones at least miming along!
