He has taken the world of Tennis by storm and had us all in a state of sheer amazement during the final of the Australian Open but Novak Djokovic told us he has no plans to slow down this year and an Olympic Gold is his next aim.
After winning the Sportsman of the Year Award at the Laureus Awards, to add another trophy to his collection, the Serbian said:
“I’m looking forward to the Olympic Games and I’m very excited as I think every single athlete who will be participating at the Olympics are. I think London will do a great job of organising it, and I feel very honoured to be representing my country.
“I will prioritise the Majors and the Olympic Games, it’s going to be interesting to see how the grass recovers after Wimbledon with only three weeks time but I’ve been told they have everything prepared. I’m looking forward to it; I had a great Grass Court season last year.”
We certainly won’t be betting against him winning a Gold medal!
