Jameson Empire Awards 2011

The Film Awards season seems to extend for half the year these days, however the last big one was The Jameson Empire Awards, and they do always say they leave the best to last.

With that in mind we made sure to fight our way through the media scrum on the Red Carpet to get all the gossip from the film stars and celebrities in attendance.

Unsurprisingly, Colin Firth triumphed yet again and picked up The Best Actor gong.

However, it was Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ which was named Best Film.

Other winners at the glitzy ceremony included ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ star Noomi Rapace who won the Best Actress prize and Keira Knightley who bagged the Hero award.

Meanwhile, ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Batman’ star Gary Oldman was named a film icon at the Awards.
