We caught up again with our favourite X-Factor star John Adeleye, and he gave us his thoughts on the rumours surrounding last season’s competitors and the new series of the show.
With news circulating that X Factor runner up Rebecca Ferguson, 24, is dating One Direction's Zain Malik, 18, Adeleye told us:
“What can I say?! It’s their business. Whatever these young people want to do these days...To be quite honest with you I saw a lot of sexual tension in the house, just generally. You’re locked away from the world for months, and at 17 you’re going to be running rampant. I’m not saying anything happened...but if something has happened I wish them all the best.”
Commenting on the continued story of who will make up the judging panel on this year’s show, Adeleye declared Nicole Scherzinger would be his ideal judge.
“Out of all the celebrity judges she was probably the best one. She managed to get Simon to actually listen to her and do the things she wanted. I think she would be a really good choice.”
The singer also told us that he does not feel the show will be damaged if Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole do not return this year:
“I think the show is bigger is than the judges, and it always has been. It’s all about the talent. I think change is good, and it could mean the show can carry on for a few years. Although we will miss Simon...there’s not another Simon Cowell.”
