Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

Not many 16 year olds have a movie made about them. But then Justin Bieber is not just any 16 year old.

The Canadian born pop star is close to reaching a staggering billion views of his content on YouTube, has over seven million fans following his every move on Twitter and has won a host of prestigious music awards.

So when we heard the teen heartthrob was visiting England, we sent our reporter Edwina Redhead to watch his film and attend his press conference....

‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ shows Justin Bieber as a normal, cheeky, 16 year old with an exceptional talent - a talent that was just waiting to be discovered.

A few home video clips uploaded to YouTube quickly made him an internet sensation whilst catching the eye of Scooter Braun who signed him to R&B star Usher’s record label. We see the story of Bieber’s rise to fame develop in the film with the star proving the critics wrong as he is able to sell out the legendary Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes - A truly incredible feat showing just how far he has come.

When I spoke to him, he was jetlagged and tired from the Brit Awards, which he attended the night before, but was still keen to tell us how he managed to bag a kiss with Cheryl Cole!

When asked how he writes and sings about love at such a young age and how he knows what love is - he replied “Have you ever hooked up with someone- because then you'll know what I’m talking about!”

It is fair to say that Bieber was funny throughout, yet he told us how he stays grounded by making sure his Mum accompanies him wherever he has to go. The film shows this and how tight the young star's support network is.

Yet even more impressive is his fanbase. ‘Beliebers’ have been camping outside the O2 Arena since 6.AM for the film’s premiere this evening and this is not unusual as his film clearly shows!

When asked, ‘JB’ said that the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked him to do was to sign a cereal box!

And when quizzed about his hair, he revealed it only takes him 5 minutes to do in the morning.

It is clear from speaking to him and from his film that he is just like any other teenager; one teenager that worked hard and got lucky through being spotted on YouTube.

In this day and age of social networking the teen sensation was the first to admit that he would not be where he is without these advances in technology!

'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' is released in UK cinemas on the 18th February.
