Katherine Jenkins Interview

Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins was just one of the stars performing at Mikhail Gorbachev’s 80th Birthday Concert and we caught up with her before the show began.

The singer told us that despite having performed to huge crowds before she was still nervous ahead of the show:

“Well this is quite a huge deal; there are a lot of people who I admire that are going to be in the audience. I think that always make you really nervous."

"This is one of my favourite places to sing, I think it’s an amazing event so I’m just really looking forward to it."

Jenkins said that she would be “singing two Opera arias”, which we’re sure Gorbachev would enjoy.

Jenkins recently got engaged to TV presenter Gethin Jones.
