London has been packed with fashionistas this past week as the capital’s Fashion Week welcomed large crowds and high-profile celebrities to view the latest autumn/winter collections.
So we decided to send our very own fashionista, Edwina Redhead, to AMIKA London for their ‘London Fashion Week Closing Show and Party’ to mingle with the A-listers, designers and models and report back on the latest trends...
What an end to what has been an exciting and eventful fashion week. Terrence Trout did not disappoint bringing his collection of flamboyant meets understated tailoring to Kensington's AMIKA nightclub.
The event was champagne filled as the designer showcased his new collection demonstrating how to incorporate colours for autumn/winter 2011 into formal wear in both an edgy and relaxed way.
Models wore different forms of tailoring showing the designer’s ability to create different pieces that bring together both style and great fitting. The collection’s key pieces included the cravat- a trend onset to transfer to the high street in the coming months and hot new colours such as flirty greens and dusky oranges to inject freshness and personality into formal wear the Terrence Trout way.
Cropped jackets and ankle skimming trousers gave great inspiration on how to wear tailoring in new ways perfectly in time for the Autumn months.
All we can say is roll on next London Fashion Week.
