'Lord Of The Dance 3D' Review

Released in the UK on the 13th March, Michael Flatley's world famous dance spectacular 'Lord of the Dance' is coming to cinemas in stunning 3D.

Since its premiere in 1996, ‘Lord of the Dance’, has thrilled audiences worldwide, catapulting Irish dance to a new dimension and unprecedented worldwide acclaim.

Having been seen by more than sixty million people in sixty different countries, on every continent, now the show is coming to the cinema screen.

As someone who is not a huge dance fan, albeit a closet follower of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, I was not holding out much hope for a film of a dance show.

However, how wrong could I be?

The film presents the viewer with unprecedented access to Flatley’s performance and truly gives you the best seat in the house to an awe-inspiring show.

The whole performance, enhanced by the magnificent camera work and breathtaking 3D visuals, is astounding from start to finish.

It will have even the least co-ordinated dancer tapping along to the beat and wanting to join in with Flatley & Co’s infectious enthusiasm.

It is no wonder that sixty million people bought tickets to see the show live, and for those of you who missed out on that opportunity, whether a dance fan or not, don’t miss out on this one. Make sure you catch this film!

“LORD OF THE DANCE 3D” will be released in UK cinemas nationwide on 13 March, 2011
