Preeya Kalidas Interview

Preeya Kalidas was one of the stars adding a bit of glamour to the Red Carpet at The Jameson Empire Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

After answering questions about her role in the British black comedy film ‘Four Lions’ and answering the usual questions about which designer she was wearing (does anyone actually care about that?!), we jumped in to ask the most important question.

Is a return to 'Eastenders' on the cards?

However, Kalidas, who played Amira Shah in the TV soap, remained tight-lipped on the subject and laughing only revealed:

“Umm maybe...maybe not!”

So, as she didn’t actually deny it, we can presume she may soon be back in Albert Square!

Before that happens, Kalidas told us she wants to “Just keep doing what I love doing.”

Kalidas also said she’s enjoying her musical career:

“The music is going great, I’m just working hard. I’m writing in the studio at the moment, so I’m very excited about that.”

Kalidas recently won Best Female Act at the UK Asian Music Awards.
