Everyone’s favourite picnic basket-stealing bear stars in a brand new film released in UK cinemas on the 11th February.
“Yogi Bear” follows the current trend of movies being filmed in 3D and combines live action with computer animation.
Starring Dan Aykroyd as the voice of Yogi, and Justin Timberlake as the voice of Boo Boo, Yogi’s faithful pal, the film is hoping to bring back the magic of the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon action that became so beloved.
However, the antics that take place inside Jellystone Park cannot be compared to the plots of such recent animated films as Disney’s ‘Tangled’.
Despite another good performance from Justin Timberlake in his new movie career, the film tends to feel a bit dated.
This though arguably does also give the film its charm and character. It is nice to see a pleasant film with a loveable character that will appeal to children and that relies on classic humour.
Whilst many critics have described the film in a negative fashion, the ultimate critics will be the children who the film is really targeted at.
And we believe kids will love the new 3D Yogi.
